Meet the Team at Bonner Eye Clinic: Our Outstanding Optical Team
The team at Bonner Eye Clinic is a tight-knit group of professionals who truly care about the people in our community. We are so fortunate to work with such dedicated, compassionate people every day. Over the next few months, we will be featuring different team members in our blogs so you can see familiar faces when you come into our clinic for eye exams, glasses/contacts or advanced eye care. This month we are featuring the amazing optical team at Bonner Eye Clinic.
Kathy
Optician
Kathy has been in the optical industry since 1992 and earned her certification from the American Board of Opticianry in 1996. She brings a diverse experience to Bonner Eye Clinic, as she has worked in several different types of optometry and ophthalmology practices.
Since Kathy began working with Bonner Eye Clinic in 2018, she has worked as an Ophthalmic Technician, Contact Lens Technician and an Optician in both our Hibbing and Grand Rapids locations.
Kathy is passionate about helping our patients find stylish frames and the best lenses to suit their lifestyles.
Marilynne
Optical Manager
Marilynne has been an employee of Bonner Eye Clinic since 2011. In 2020, she became the Optical Manager when her friend and co-worker Pam Moos retired.
She attended Itasca Community College and received her Vo-Tech certificate in the Optometric Assistant program and is also American Board of Opticianry (ABO) certified. She takes pride in her profession and in maintaining up-to-date skills and knowledge.
Marilynne says that one of the most rewarding parts of her job is when a patient leaves the office seeing better than they ever have and in good-looking, quality frames and lenses.
Janet
Optician
Janet has worked in the optical field for over 20 years and has been employed by Bonner Eye Clinic since 2006. She mainly works in our Hibbing office but you’ll sometimes see her working in our Grand Rapids location.
She enjoys teaching patients how to insert and remove contact lenses and loves seeing them achieve their goal of being a new contact lens wearer. Janet also enjoys helping people find a frame they really like and feel comfortable in. It puts a smile on her face when she sees how wonderful a frame looks and how much the patient likes it.
Elizabeth
Optician
Elizabeth has 15 years of experience in the optical industry and has been with Bonner Eye Clinic for over 10 years. Since starting at Bonner Eye Clinic she has been certified by the American Board of Opticianry.
She has also cross-trained within the clinic and used to be a Technician. Today, she still assists with Visual Field testing in both our Grand Rapids and Hibbing locations.
As a patient, you’ll get to know Elizabeth well as she likes to help problem solve with you to find the perfect glasses and/or sunglasses for your everyday needs; especially those who are having difficulties with their vision, eyeglass comfort and style. She also teaches contact lens classes for our new contact lens wearers.
Elizabeth has a knack for collecting funky eyeglasses and sunglasses. Can you spot Elizabeth in our optical shop?
