Get to Know Our Doctors: Dr. Young!

Growing up in Grand Rapids provided Dr. Young with much appreciation for our community in northern Minnesota. After joining Bonner Eye Clinic, he has been excited at the opportunity to provide eye care services in northern Minnesota. After graduating from GRHS in 2002, he attended St. John’s University and then earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, OR in 2011.

His training included externships in Portland, OR, the Southern Oregon White City VA outpatient clinic, private practice in Long Beach, WA, and the Hickam Air Force Base in Honolulu, HI. Prior to joining Bonner Eye Clinic, he gained professional experience working in Hawaii and Minneapolis in a private practice.

Dr. Young appreciates the northern Minnesota lifestyle, and like most people, enjoys a variety of outdoor activities our area offers. His educational training and professional work naturally permitted him to explore the ocean through surfing, diving, and fishing. He is excited to be home and continue to explore what MN offers us through its unique woods and fresh water.
