Bonner Eye Clinic Eyewear Policy

We at Bonner Eye Clinic are confident that you will be satisfied with the prescription glasses and contact lenses you receive from us. Our doctors write eyeglass prescriptions with an expiration of two years in most cases; rarely they are written for a shorter period of time.

Eyeglass Warranty Policy

ONE YEAR WARRANTY: All eyeglass frames carry a one-year warranty against manufacturer defects. We will honor that warranty and replace your frame free of charge for any manufacturer defect for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase. If your original frame style is no longer available, we will replace it with a different frame up to the amount of the original cost of your frame. Lost, stolen, or abused eyeglasses are excluded from this warranty.

15 DAY FRAME EXCHANGE PRIVILEGE: If after picking up your new eyewear, you decide you don’t like the frame that you have chosen, you can exchange it for another frame of equal or lesser value for a $25 restocking fee. This is allowed one time only.

SCRATCH COAT WARRANTY: Should you choose to purchase this product, our scratch protection has a one year scratch protection warranty covering scratches from normal wear and tear and covers one free replacement of your lenses within one year of your purchase date.

ANTI REFLECTIVE LENS COATING: Should you purchase this product, our Anti-Reflective coating comes with a two year warranty covering scratches from normal wear and tear, and covers up to two free lens replacements of your lenses within two years of your purchase date.

WE STAND BEHIND OUR PRESCRIPTIONS: For prescriptions from any Bonner Eye Clinic office that are three months old or less, if you have any difficulties we will review your prescription at no charge. Should there be any changes to the prescription or fitting measurements in lenses purchased at any Bonner Eye Clinic Optical Shop, we will remake the lenses once at no additional charge within three months from the date the order was placed. Additional lens remakes are charged at 50% of the original order price within the three month period. Remakes for lenses purchased elsewhere are at the discretion of the eyeglass vendor you chose to fill your prescription.

FRAME ADJUSTMENTS: We are happy to adjust any pair of glasses. We will take the utmost of care, but we do not warranty any damage or breakage due to adjusting the frame. If the frame was purchased from us and still under warranty, we will replace the frame. If the frame was purchased from another office, then their warranty policies, if any, would apply.

PATIENT SUPPLIED FRAME: We can use an existing frame for new lenses. Frames that have been worn are at greater risk for damage during the manufacture of new lenses. New frames may have manufacturing defects that are not readily apparent to the naked eye. We are not liable for damage or loss of frame upon insertion of lenses or during adjustments. If the frame was purchased from us and is still under warranty, we will replace the frame. If the frame was purchased from another office then their warranty policies, if any, will apply.

LENS ONLY ORDERS: The lab can sometimes use an on-file “pattern” for new lenses for your glasses if you can’t go without them. Occasionally, lens-only orders will have fit issues where the lens is too big or too small for us to safely mount into your frame. In this case, the lab will require the frame to be sent to them for a proper fit. To get the best lens fit in the frame from the start, we recommend sending the lab your frame.

CANCELLATION & RETURNS: Prescription lens orders are started as soon as possible to ensure a quick turn-around. Once the lab starts making your custom lenses we are unable to cancel the order. Frames that are in pristine condition can sometimes be returned when accompanied with all original packaging materials & case, but are subject to a 15% restocking fee.

Contact Lens Policy

We at Bonner Eye Clinic are committed to ensuring the perfect fit for your contact lenses, which starts with a comprehensive fitting and evaluation. This process, crucial for your comfort and the health of your eyes, includes precise measurements, thorough evaluation, and specialized vision testing tailored to the prescription your eye doctor has determined is best for you. This process is necessary with each eye exam if you wish to continue wearing contact lenses. The contact lens fitting fee is separate from our regular exam fee and is not typically covered by insurance plans. However, it does encompass 60 days of follow up office visits related to your contact lenses, as well as any trial lenses needed during this period. This fee is payable at the time of service ensuring uninterrupted, focused care for your vision needs.

Contact lens prescriptions expire two years from the date of your last eye exam and fitting. Due to strict laws governing contact lenses in the state of Minnesota, we are unable to provide patients with any contact lenses once a prescription is expired.
