Grant Carlisle, M.D.
Grant Carlisle MD is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who practices treating diseases of the eye including intraocular surgery as well as functional, reconstructive, and cosmetic ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery.
He grew up in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and attended Grand Rapids High School. He later attended the University of Minnesota Duluth for undergraduate studies where he was accepted into an accelerated program that granted early admission into medical school at the University of Minnesota Duluth. This included the first two years of schooling in Duluth, then transitioned to the Twin Cities for clinical rotations. He completed an internship at Hennepin Healthcare followed by ophthalmology residency at Penn State Health, where he served as the chief resident. He then completed an ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at Penn State Health in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Grant currently practices comprehensive ophthalmology including cataract surgery with an emphasis on eyelids, eyebrows, tear ducts, and other areas around the eye.
He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Minnesota Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Ophthalmic Trauma.
In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, playing sports, and spending time with his family and friends.
